For Renters

How do I create a renter profile?

Click "Create Profile" and follow the guided steps. You will add a photo, tell landlords about yourself, set your rental preferences like budget and move-in date, and share a few lifestyle details. The whole process takes just a few minutes.

What information do I need to provide?

At minimum we ask for your name, a profile photo, employment status, monthly income range, and your rental preferences. Adding a bio and lifestyle details is optional but helps landlords get to know you and reach out with confidence.

How do landlords contact me?

When a landlord finds your profile a good match, they can reveal your contact details and reach out by email or phone. You stay in control of what information is visible and can hide your profile at any time.

Can I hide my profile?

Yes. From My Profile, toggle off visibility and your profile will be instantly hidden from all searches. You can turn it back on whenever you are ready to start your search again.

How do I save listings I like?

Tap the heart icon on any listing to save it. All your saved listings live on the Favorites page, where you can review them side by side and remove any you are no longer interested in.

How do I delete my renter profile?

Go to My Profile, scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom, and select Delete Profile. You will be asked to confirm before anything is removed. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

For Landlords

How do I post a listing?

Click "List Property" and complete the guided steps: location, property details, photos, amenities, lease terms, and pricing. You can review everything before publishing, and your listing goes live immediately after.

How do I browse renter profiles?

Head to the Renters page to browse pre-screened renter profiles in Austin Texas. You can filter by budget, move-in date, household, and more to find people who are a strong fit for your property, then reach out directly.

How are renters pre-screened on Tordoa?

Renters complete a detailed profile with employment, budget, move-in date, and rental preferences during onboarding. Landlords can review this information before messaging so they connect with serious renters ready to move in Austin.

Can I have multiple listings?

Absolutely. There is no limit to how many properties you can list. Manage them all from the Manage Listings dashboard, where you can track views, saves, and inquiries for each one.

How do I edit or delete a listing?

From Manage Listings, every property has Edit and Delete actions. Editing reopens the listing form with your details prefilled, and deleting permanently removes the listing after a quick confirmation.

How do I mark a listing as inactive?

Each listing card in Manage Listings has an Active toggle. Switch it off to temporarily hide the listing from search results without deleting it, then switch it back on when the property is available again.

Account

How do I change my password?

Go to Account Settings, open the Privacy and Security section, and select Update next to Password. Enter your current password followed by your new one to save the change.

How do I update my email address?

In Account Settings under Personal Information, click Edit next to your email, enter the new address, and save. We will send a confirmation to verify the change.

Can I be both a landlord and a renter?

Yes. A single Tordoa account can list properties and maintain a renter profile at the same time. Switch between the two experiences anytime without creating a second account.

How do I delete my account?

Open Account Settings, go to the Danger Zone, and choose Delete Account. For your security you will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.

Is my personal information secure?

Protecting your data is a top priority. Your information is encrypted, your contact details are only revealed when you choose, and we never sell your data to third parties. You can control your visibility at any time.

Listings

What makes a good listing?

Great listings have clear, well-lit photos, an honest and detailed description, accurate pricing, and a complete list of amenities and lease terms. The more complete your listing, the more quality inquiries you will receive.

How many photos should I upload?

We recommend at least 5 to 10 photos covering each room, common areas, and the exterior. A minimum of 3 is required to publish, but more photos consistently lead to higher engagement.

How long does it take for my listing to go live?

Listings go live instantly once you publish them. They will immediately appear in search results and on the map for renters in your area.

Can renters contact me directly?

Yes. Interested renters can reveal your contact details from your listing and reach out by email or phone. You decide which contact information to display.

What should I include in my description?

Highlight what makes the property special: layout, natural light, recent upgrades, nearby transit and amenities, and the neighborhood vibe. Be specific about lease terms, pet policy, and what is included in rent.
